Chicago police officer Thomas Wortham IV was murdered last month by a group of three youths who tried to steal his new motorcycle. Wortham, who was reportedly at his parents’ home when he was approached by the suspects, tried to stop them from taking the motorcycle. Wortham’s father, a retired Chicago police sergeant, came to his son’s aid, killing one attacker and critically wounding another. A third was able to escape.
