A couple was fined $42,000 for causing what has been called the worst food poisoning outbreak in New South Wales, Australia recently. Reports say Long and Linda Fou, former owners of the Homebush French Golden Hot Bakery led to 319 people falling ill in 2007. They ultimately pleaded guilty to four charges of handling and selling unsafe food. An investigation by the NSW Food Authority found that the source of the food poisoning was mayonnaise. Stretching for a foul ball a Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas, a man fell from the second deck into the field level seats. The man fell during the fifth inning of a game between the Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers last summer. Charges were filed late last month against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a woman at an apartment complex on Dunlap Ave. on Sunday December 19th. Jamal Jones, 24, was charged with criminal negligent homicide, accused in the killing of Felicia Jefferson, 28.  Houston Police and HFD emergency personnel responded to a shooting call at the Dunlap address. Public groups have been critical of a delay by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that stalled a  recall of the drugs Darvon and Darvocet, reports say. Darvon and Darvocet, which are made with the key ingredient propoxyphene, may be linked to heart problems. Critics say the number of patients injured by the delay by the FDA could number in the thousands, reports say. Propoxyphene is a painkiller.
