An Ohio woman drowned last month when information she was given from the 911 operator after floodwaters swept her Volkswagen Beetle into an Ohio creek kept her in the car instead of trying to save herself by getting out of the submerged vehicle. An apparent drowning victim identified as a 60-year-old Lake Shore man, was recovered from the waters of Upper Gull Lake recently, reports say. Although exactly what happened still isn’t clear, what is clear is that the death of 39-year-old Jennifer Michelle Patton was an accident. Patton veered off the road and into a pond, trapping her inside and ultimately drowning her, reports say.
