The driver of a blue Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling north on State Highway 6 when he crossed over into oncoming traffic and sideswiped a gray Infinity I-35, subsequently striking a red Chevrolet Cobalt head on. A white Toyota Sienna then struck the rear of the Cobalt after the head-on collision.  The driver of the Cobalt was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Reports say a red Ford Explorer travelling southbound on Barrington lost control as the street curved sharply into Windswept Lane. The driver failed to make the corner and plowed through a guardrail, sailed through a concrete freeway sound barrier and plowed across the lanes of the Southwest Freeway service road.
