The man was initially held on a charge of marijuana possession, since he was also was found with that drug in his possession. Reports say Marblehead-based Rockmore Co. Inc., which operates the vessels Hannah Glover and Rockmore, were fined by prosecutors for knowingly dumping untreated sewage from the boats toilets into North Shore waters. The Hannah Glover evidently offers dinner cruises, sightseeing trips, and ferry service. The Rockmore is a restaurant boat reportedly moored in Salem Harbor. Reports say that passengers on the cruise ship Norwegian Jade, a part of the Norwegian Cruise Lines fleet, became ill on a sailing early this year. Passengers reported several shipmates were sickened and the liner was evidently concerned enough to change all buffet areas from self-serve to cafeteria-style.
