A 13-year-old Crown Point student at St. Mary’s Catholic Community School died in what appeared to be an accidental  drowning last month at Hermit Lake, reports conclude. A pair of workers at the Owens Corning Plant in Kansas City, Kansas was injured last month as a result of an equipment malfunction while the men unloaded asphalt.   Emergency services from Kansas City, Kansas were called out to address the situation at 8 a.m. to attend to the two employees, who had suffered critical burn injuries from the hot asphalt and were transported to a hospital. Two people died in a Washington D.C. bus accident on a company-sponsored outing when the open-air sightseeing bus narrowly cleared an overpass, but the two passengers struck the 11th Street overpass.
