College students at Youngstown State University’s Kilcawley House fell five stories when the elevator cable snapped and the car dropped into a free-fall into the basement, reports say. Boy Hurt in Trolley Accident

A seven-year-old boy was injured when he ran out from between two cars into a moving trolley in Southwest Philadelphia last month, say reports. The unidentified youngster was transported to Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania with head, shoulder and leg injuries, and his condition was not immediately known. The accident occurred in the morning before school, about 7:50 a.m. on Chester Avenue at 54th Street in Kingsessing. Prison Guard Injured in Elevator Accident

Janice Bauer, a Spokane County Jail guard, was injured when an elevator suddenly dropped and then came to a violent and abrupt stop. Reports say Bauer was thrown to the floor last month as she took the elevator from the jail annex to the first floor in the Tacoma prison facility. Man Found Mostly Responsible in His Elevator Injury

  A trial found an injured man who fell down an elevator shaft 80-percent responsible for the accident, reports say.   So the civil case award, which was valued at $157,500, will allow him to end up with approximately $31,000.
