A three-year-old boy lost a finger recently following an accident on a Macy’s escalator, reports say. Even though doctors tried desperately to save the finger, it was eventually amputated. The body of Hallie Jenkins, a 4-year-old girl missing since her father’s car plunged into a north Houston drainage ditch that killed four other children, has been found, according to reports. Surfer Dies in Shark Attack

  A young surfer was killed last month after a shark attack off Surf Beach, approximately  120 miles northwest of Los Angeles, reports say.   Lucas Ransom McKain, 19, a chemistry student at the University of California at Santa Barbara, was approximately a hundred yards from shore when the shark attacked him, biting through the surfboard and severing his left leg. Two Houston-Area Drownings Reported in One Weekend

Reports say a six-year-old died in southeast Houston Saturday, and then on Sunday a three-year-old boy drowned in Oak Ridge North in Montgomery County.
