While walking on railroad tracks near their school, two teenagers were struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Delaware County yesterday morning. Hockey broadcaster Ron MacLean helped save a man from drowning in the Delaware River last month. The incident started when a woman raced into a hotel restaurant where MacLean was having lunch, shouting for help, Explaining frantically to the broadcaster that a person was drowning, MacLean leapt from his seat, took a velvet rope that separated diners in the restaurant and ran down to the water. Houston police are continuing to investigate a fatal traffic accident that occurred at 4200 Tidwell about 2:25 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28th. The accident occurred as the victim was operating his motorcycle, a black Yamaha, westbound on Tidwell at a high rate of speed. As he changed lanes in an attempt to pass another vehicle, the victim lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a telephone phone. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
